How to Avoid This Glyphosate

Glyphosate is a known carcinogen along with a whole host of other things that are not generally talked about and it’s caused significant changes in the landscape of our health, very rapidly, and not in a good way.⁣

It disproportionately affects our children and animals because they are small, making the toxic load much more burdensome for these little beings.

Glyphosate alters our microbiome (it was originally patented as an antibiotic) altering digestive health, moods, sleep, and skin.

It’s a pesticide sprayed mainly on GMO (genetically modified organisms/crops). It’s ubiquitous. It’s everywhere-not only in our food, but on our sidewalks, parks, golf courses, in our homes and often in our garages labeled as Roundup.

So it’s really important to know if you are consuming glyphosate and how best to avoid it.

How do you know if a food contains a GMO ingredient? Read the Ingredient label. If it contains any of the listed below, it contains glyphosate (Unless it’s organic)⁣.
(Note there has been a bill passed requiring the labeling of GMO ingredients but the verbiage used is bioengineered not GMO).

There is a #9 to add to this list. Oats

You’ll notice that the first 6 items on the image above have (GMO) after them, indicating that they are a Genetically Modified Organism. What this means is that the original plant was modified to withstand the heavy spraying of Glyphosate without being killed in the process.

Good for killing pests but not so good for the environment, our guts, our toxic load, or our health in general. It’s also responsible for killing bees which we need for pollination.

While Wheat, Garbanzo Beans and now Oats are on this list, they are not GMO crops. They are on this list because they receive a nice dusting of glyphosate right before harvest. This dusting facilitates the ease of harvesting as the glyphosate is used as an a desiccant, drying the plant.

And add to this list, cook at home as much as possible. It’s the best way of controlling what you put into your bodies. I guarantee you that 90% of restaurants are using vegetable or canola oil and are not serving organic anything.

Just in case you might have a question of why organic fed meat is listed here, it’s because our livestock is fed corn and other ingredients that contain glyphosate and there’s a trickle down effect.
