You’re Eating, Exercising, and Sleeping Right and…Nothing’s Happening!!!

Over the past couple of months I’ve been talking about the food and lifestyle changes that effectively lower insulin, A1c and blood glucose levels.

(Here’s a refresher on why this is so important. Both insulin and glucose levels can cause weight gain, inflammation, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, Alzheimer’s and even cancer. These all affect millions, so not something to be ignored)

So let’s say, you’ve taken the plunge and you’ve done a stellar job of getting your food, exercise, stress, and sleep down, which is always the first order of business when trying to get insulin and glucose under control, but your numbers are still not moving much. Now What?

Welp, we go back to the drawing board and peel back another layer of the onion and look at the following possible underlying causes of stagnation, which all increase inflammation. Inflammation that increases glucose and insulin, all on its own, without ever eating a bite of food.

  • Digestive issues
  • Food Sensitivities
  • Infections
  • Toxic Load
  • Nutritional Deficiencies
  • Stress levels
  • Medications
  • Elevated Uric Acid Levels

If you struggle with the inability to lose weight, you’re tired all the time, glucose and A1c markers indicate ‘pre-diabetic’, you have diabetes, high blood pressure, or heart disease and you’re doing everything ‘right’, stay tuned. I’ll be talking about all of these underlying drivers listed throughout the month of August.

There’s always a reason something is not working right. Sometimes we just have to dig a bit deeper to get to that reason.
