Satisfying Anti-Aging Protein Shake

This shake is made with 100% whole, fresh, real food, with a spotlight on healthy fats, potent antioxidants and phytonutrients, from the blueberries, and a touch of sulfur from the kale.

The Athletic Greens add the extra insurance most of us need to reach the optimal nine servings of vegetables per day and the beet powder gives us a source of betaine which influences how our genes get expressed, in a good way!

I realize the Athletic Greens come with a bit of a price tag which is why I’ve included Organifi Green Juice as an option. Either one is  well worth it! And particularly important if you’re traveling or having a hard time fitting in your 9 daily servings of anti-aging fruits and vegetables.

To make the Athletic Greens to last 60 instead of 30 days, I only use 1 Tbsp per shake.

Serves 1


  • ½ cup frozen blueberries
  • Handful kale or spinach
  • 2 tbsp. almond butter
  • 2 tbsp. pumpkin seeds
  • 2 tbsp. chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp. hemp seeds
  • 2 whole walnuts
  • 2 whole Brazil nuts
  • 1/2-1 large banana
  • 1 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • ½ -1 scoop Athletic Greens or Organifi Green Juice
  • 1 tsp beet root powder
  • Ice-optional


Combine all of the ingredients in a blender. Blend on high speed until smooth, about 2 minutes. If the shake is too thick, add more water until you reach a thick but drinkable consistency. Serve chilled.
